What do you like about working in the removals industry?

Every day, we move a new customer with a different combination of removal teams. Every day, we are busy puzzling over the best solutions. At the end of the day, we feel the sincere gratitude of our customers, and that is where we get our satisfaction.

Which projects do you enjoy carrying out the most?

We enjoy projects where we are involved from the very beginning. These include projects for the government, schools or business removals. We start with a plan of action, then we work towards inventory lists, appoint a permanent contact person and support the customer from A to Z. This enables us to make all removals a success, even those that are less well organised or have a tight schedule or budget!

How do you approach sustainability?

We try to do everything we do in a sustainable way. This includes moving entirely electrically and using sustainable materials. We also return unwanted furniture to the market through reuse, recycling and repurposing. We refurbish the furniture and give it a new lease of life with a new owner. If this proves impossible, we try to return the product to its raw materials.

What advice would you give to someone who is about to move house?

Nothing beats contacting a removal company by telephone. A removal company knows exactly how to ask the right questions and how to make a suitable proposal. In addition, make sure that the removal company is affiliated with the Erkende Verhuizers. This is a quality standard: well-trained movers and good insurance are crucial for a successful move. Unfortunately, there are many companies nowadays that cannot meet this quality standard. Not every company with a van knows how to handle certain types of removals.
