What do you like about working in the removals industry?

Every customer is different, every situation is different, and that's why every move is different. Every day, we provide tailor-made services, truly helping our customers with our removal assistance.

Which projects do you enjoy doing the most?

80% of our removals are private removals, the other 20% consist of offices, schools and local authorities. It is precisely the variety that we enjoy; we don't like one more than the other.

How did your removal company come about?

Horse and cart were still commonplace when Mr Dorenbos started Dorenbos Verhuizingen in the 1960s. His son and daughter-in-law, Jouke and Harma Dorenbos, took over 30 years later. By that time, removal vans were already in use, of course. Incidentally, you can't compare those vans with today's equipment, because the vans we work with are equipped with air suspension, hydraulic tail lifts and all kinds of other technical aids that enable us to work quickly and safely. In April 2022, more than 60 years later, Dorenbos Verhuizingen was taken over by Johan Koops and Johan Wachtmeester, who together have more than 50 years of experience in the removals industry.

How do you approach innovation?

We are a leading removal company when it comes to innovation. Our customers can reach us in various ways (by telephone, chat function on the website, via WhatsApp), we are active on various social media and with our handy and free Removal App, we are five years ahead of our time.

How do you approach sustainability?

Sustainability is a topical issue and very important to pay attention to. Moving boxes are used several times, we use sustainable packaging materials where necessary, and used materials are collected separately and returned.
